Started learning piano at the age of 4 and majoring in harp at 15, Rayna graduated from Xinghai Conservatory of Music Affiliated High School in 2008. She later enrolled at the China Conservatory of Music. After obtaining her bachelor's degree in 2012, she pursued postgraduate studies at the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University in the United States under the guidance of Dr. Ruth Inglefield. In 2014, she graduated with a Master’s degree in Harp Performance with an outstanding academic record, earning straight A's in all subjects, and won first prize in the harp category at the Baltimore Musicians' Association Competition in the same year. During her time in the U.S., she was appointed as a teaching assistant, concurrently teaching at the OrchKids program of the Baltimore Orchestra Academy and the Bridge Music Program at Baltimore Music School.
After returning to China upon graduation, she was invited several times to perform with leading domestic symphony orchestras and renowned conductors and musicians. She also successfully held solo and ensemble concerts at prestigious venues, including the 3rd Arrondissement in Paris, the Versailles National Conservatory of Music in France, and the Guangdong Xinghai Concert Hall. Passionate about popularising harp artistry, she organised a series of harp education lectures and participated as a guest performer, instructor, and judge at harp art festivals, actively promoting the development of harp music in Guangdong Province.
From 2014 to 2024, Rayna taught at Xinghai Conservatory of Music, both at the university and its affiliated high school. She served as a mentor for top-tier talent at the institution, guiding students to win numerous awards at domestic and international professional harp competitions and earning the title of Excellent Mentor. Many of her students successfully enrolled at prestigious international institutions with scholarships for further studies after their graduations, including the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts, Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music in Singapore, Royal Northern College of Music, Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and Tianjin Juilliard School. Her excellent teaching quality has provided her students with broader opportunities for future development, and her achievements have been well-recognised by experts and parents alike.
In 2024, she was elected as an executive committee member of the Harp Committee of the Fujian Provincial Arts Vocational Education Association. Her studio, ZR Harp Studio, was designated as a "Famous Harp Master Institution".
